June.
Once there was a boy.
It was the summer of 2025 at the end of June where my eyes stumbled upon a boy. Little did I know this was the day that my life changed for the better.
It was one bright, warm summer morning, and I sat on the bench waiting for my friend to come so we could start our work experience. I remember I wore this pretty little dark green and pink flowered shirt — it reminded me that summer had finally arrived, the month I’d been long awaiting.
The scent of pollen filled the air, a sweet reminder that life, in these short summer months, was meant to be savoured.
And you could hear the birds sing their sweet songs of freedom as they flew into the warm blue sky. It was that time of year where people wore sandals, and you could feel the little pebbles between your toes, and where the sea danced like a xylophone.
And then i saw him.
He walked into my morning like sunlight spilling through a window, unannounced but impossible to ignore. There was something about the way he carried himself, as if the whole world slowed just for him. My heart didn’t race — it floated, as if the summer breeze had found a way inside me.
