Social media…

Light. Screen. Doom. I feel my face being sucked. Sucked into this heavenly brightness. That’s what you think right? Everything something is too good to be true. The devil disguises as a good person too. I turn up the screen brightness to get rid of the pain. Every day it’s beginning to feel the same. Social media is more harm than good. The light in  my screen begins to crack, oh good. Back, back to the ways.

Back to the great olden days the days where we’d play without being glued to a screen all day . The nostalgic smells, jacket potatoes from hell. The good old days in primary school were the best ways. I miss stepping outside feeling the wet dew on the long grass. In the fields we’d never run in so fast. Nowadays I step outside and the colour and liveliness have never been so deprived. The happiness is gone and everyone’s talking about that new TikTok song.

Trends oh trends, lens oh lens, slowly filtering out our beauty. Is the world coming to an end? The end? The end? Is that an exaggeration or is the world becoming a creation? A creation of art and talent. The type of many couldn’t balance. Be a version of you, a version you choose. Or is it part of yourself you’re beginning to lose?

Social media has taken our time, our peace and our sense of self. It feels like my life has been sat on a shelf. It connects, but is that enough to stop breaking us too? Light.screen. Doom. It began as a connection but ai is becoming an infection. If this is the world we’ve created, then maybe it’s time we unplug.
