Reminiscing summer
The light shone so fiercely that the darkness which once lingered dissolved like a grain of salt in an endless ocean. It did not simply touch the surface of my skin — it claimed it. The remaining droplets resting on my blissful brown skin trembled, then glistened effortlessly, each one catching the sun as though desperate to be noticed.
My curls sprang freely from each shoulder, bold and untamed, twisting in the salty breeze. From a distance, they could almost be mistaken for the delicate straps of my bikini, painted against me by the strong ocean current. The sea tugged playfully at my waist, wrapping around my thighs before retreating again, as if unsure whether to keep me or let me go.
Above me, the sky stretched wide and unbothered, a soft blue canvas with no intention of dimming. The air tasted of salt and promise. For a moment, I was not just standing in the water — I was part of it. The ocean moved with me, the light danced across me, and the world felt impossibly small compared to the warmth expanding inside my chest.
In that brightness, nothing else existed. No noise. No doubt. Just the steady rhythm of waves and the quiet certainty that I was exactly where I was meant to be.
